These flew out of the kitchen and off the shelves last week, so we’re keeping our Beef Croquettes on the special board for a second week. If you have yet to taste these crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside bundles of delicious, we recommend adding some to your order this week to see what all the fuss was about. What’s happening on the Farm
Just 10 minutes down the road from Waipawa Butchery is our farm, Patangata Station. It’s where we graze our Angus Beef and Lamb, over 60 hectares of sprawling pastures overlooking the stunning TukiTuki River. There’s always plenty going on, and we thought we would start to share regular updates on what’s happening on the farm. Here’s our first diary entry.
The neverending long hot summer
In sharp contrast to 12 months ago, post-cyclone, we’ve had an extremely successful summer of growth, with our pastures just starting to get a little dry now. But with plenty of feed reserves for our butchery animals, they are thriving.
We’ve been busy with our crops, and our pastures are filled with produce. This week’s focus is on harvesting beans. We’re also looking at purchasing 20 Peking ducks for the ponds as we move into Autumn.
