World Butchers’ Challenge 2025
Our apprentice butcher, Rhys, is heading to Paris this week to compete on the world stage as part of the ANZCO Foods NZ Butcher Team!
He’s been selected to represent New Zealand at the international World Butcher Challenge alongside New Zealand’s representing team, the ‘Sharp Blacks’.
We are incredibly proud of his efforts after beginning with us in 2020 fresh out of high school! The future is looking bright for this top bloke!

If you order via our website and live in Hawke’s Bay, you will still get the option for delivery or pick up from our Waipawa Butchery shop. If you’re elsewhere in New Zealand, we will pop your order on an overnight courier to any town or city addresses.
